Samuel Ligon & Robert Lopez Reading

Come and meet the incredibly talented writers - Samuel Ligon and Robert Lopez. Samuel and Robert will be in town to read their work with some amazing Chicago writers.

Robert Lopez is the author of two novels, Part of the World and Kamby Bolongo Mean River, and two story collections, Asunder and Good People. A new novel, All Back Full, will be published by Dzanc Books in February, 2017.

"Lopez's methodical narrators will draw comparisons to Beckett, but they also share DNA with the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard, showcasing out-of-touch anxiety cases in all their poetically elliptical glory." --- LA Times

Samuel Ligon is the author of two novels—Among the Dead and Dreaming and Safe in Heaven Dead—and two collections of stories, Wonderland, illustrated by Stephen Knezovich, and Drift and Swerve. He edits the journal Willow Springs, teaches at Eastern Washington University in Spokane, and is the artistic director of the Port Townsend Writers’ Conference.

“Ligon handles this latticework with impressive fluidity and dramatic momentum, the disparate voices lacing the novel with the melancholy of aborted and fractured love.” --- New York Times Book Review
